About us

Powering Growth Through Innovation and Sustainability.

Perdaman Chemicals & Fertilisers (PCF) is a leading Australian industrial manufacturer, focused on fertiliser production, typically urea and ammonia. With a commitment to innovation and efficiency, PCF is developing Project Ceres, Australia’s largest urea manufacturing plant, located in Karratha, Western Australia. This USD $4.5 billion facility will produce 2.3 million metric tons per annum (TPA) of high-quality urea, reducing Australia’s reliance on imports and supporting global food production. Backed by a 20-year feedstock agreement with Woodside and an offtake agreement with Incitec Pivot, Project Ceres will play a key role in agricultural sustainability and economic growth.

Beyond urea production, PCF is investing in supporting infrastructure and clean energy. Project Vesta, Karratha housing project, will provide dedicated workforce housing, ensuring long-term operational efficiency, while Project Helios, future green hydrogen project, will deliver renewable energy solutions to support sustainable operations. Together, these projects will create 2,000 construction jobs and 200 permanent positions, driving local employment and economic development. With a strong focus on environmental responsibility, safety, and innovation, PCF is shaping the future of Australia’s fertiliser and energy industries.

Project Spotlight

Project Ceres

Project Ceres is Perdaman Chemicals & Fertilisers’ flagship initiative—a state-of-the-art urea manufacturing plant located in Karratha, Western Australia. With a total investment of USD $4.5 billion, it is set to become the largest urea plant in Australia and one of the largest in the world, producing 2.3 million metric tonnes per annum (TPA). The plant will transform natural gas, secured under a 20-year supply agreement with Woodside, into high-quality urea for domestic and global markets. A 20-year offtake agreement with Incitec Pivot further strengthens the project’s long-term commercial viability. Project Ceres represents a major step toward reducing Australia’s dependence on imported fertilisers, supporting food production and agricultural self-sufficiency.

Beyond its manufacturing capabilities, Project Ceres is a significant economic catalyst for Australia. It is expected to create around 2,000 jobs during its four-year construction phase and 200 permanent roles once operational. The project is backed by both the Western Australian and Federal Governments, with Project of State Significance and Major Project status. With a strong focus on environmental responsibility, advanced engineering, and community development, Project Ceres is not just a manufacturing facility—it’s a long-term investment in the sustainable future of Australia’s agriculture and economy.
