Project Vesta is a cornerstone of Perdaman’s commitment to regional development, community integration, and sustainable industry. With an investment of approximately A$150 million, the project will deliver 136 homes in Karratha, providing permanent housing for the operational workforce of Project Ceres. The initiative aims to support a “non-FIFO” workforce, allowing employees to live locally and contribute to the social and economic fabric of the region.
The construction of the project commenced in October 2024, with staged delivery planned through to mid-2027. Perdaman has partnered with local contractors Timik Developments and Thomas Building to deliver the homes, ensuring local employment and supporting regional businesses.
Beyond housing, Vesta reflects Perdaman’s vision for long-term regional sustainability. By securing 15 lots from Murujuga Aboriginal Corporation and 85 from Development WA, Perdaman is working closely with Traditional Custodians to respect cultural heritage while enabling growth. Once completed, Vesta will help reduce pressure on local rental markets, create a more connected workforce, and contribute to Karratha’s evolution into one of WA’s most liveable regional centres.

Perdaman has partnered with trusted local builders Timik Developments Pty Ltd and Thomas Building Pty Ltd to deliver Project Vesta—our workforce housing initiative supporting Project Ceres in Karratha. The first 31 homes are scheduled for completion by October 2025, with the next 29 starting construction in November 2025, and the final 40 homes commencing in Q3 2026. Together, these partners are helping us meet our commitment to creating a vibrant, locally based workforce community, with the entire project due for completion in 2027.
